The jogster tries to keep up at the 2009 Bupa Great North Mini Run

This is a compilation of photos of us (me and daughter Rachel) doing the 2009 Bupa Great North Mini Run. I am not exaggerating in saying that I had certainly broken sweat long before the end of the run! It was about 1,500m and we did it in 7 minutes, fantastic for a 5 years old and, I guess, not too shabby for a 44 year old!

  1. Would never have believed that I could cross the finishing line of the Great North Run in a PB of 2 hours 14 with my sons Alan and Alistair on either side of me. I had a fantastic race with them and hope I will be able to do this again some time, maybe even with my grandchildren, who knows! My family made this a very special day. Thanks.

  2. It was an amazing experience, one of those defining life moments where everything is memorable, even getting stuck in the car park for 2 hours afterwards couldn't take away the special feeling. It was the first time that the 3 of us had ever run together and definitely not the last! We will have to get 3 generations out running together soon, bets on who will be fastest?! ... Thanks mum for being such a star and glad that we could be part of your great day.
